With the introduction of the QCF, NVQ has been replaced by QCF and this has given candidates the opportunity to specialise. The diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 is divided into 3 pathways, namely, Generic, Dementia and Learning Disability. At this level, candidates are expected to cover 58 credit units.
Who is it for?
Level 3 Diploma in HSC is for those who are aspiring to be or are already in supervisory positions like key workers or team leaders and have achieved level 2 or equivalent qualification.
Candidates are assessed using various methods including observation, professional discussion, reflective accounts, questions and answers, work products and more.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management of Care Service or a university degree
